When prepping for the University of Western Australia Medicine Interview, the qualities they look for in their candidates include accountability, sound ethical and moral judgment, and problem-solving abilities.

The interview process at the University of Western Australia employs the MMI format. The interview comprises 8 stations, each having 2-3 follow-up questions. Each station includes 2 minutes of reading time followed by 7 minutes of response time.

Approximately 63 students are accepted into the program, with 30% of seats reserved for rural applicants, 10% for Indigenous applicants, and 15 seats for international students, promoting a diverse and inclusive learning community.
