As highlighted in their course overview, the University of Queensland (UQ) Doctor of Medicine program is designed to equip graduates for diverse healthcare settings worldwide. Emphasizing both academic rigor and practical clinical experience, their Medicine program aims to cultivate compassionate clinicians who excel in teamwork and continuous health improvement.

The interview process at UQ employs the Multiple Mini Interview (MMI) format, consisting of 8 stations. Each station allows candidates 2 minutes of reading time followed by 7 minutes to respond.

The MMI stations cover the following stations: ethical scenarios, teamwork & collaboration, problem-solving, leadership, public health, rural medicine, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander healthcare. Each year UQ Medicine admits approximately 500 students, fostering a vibrant and diverse learning environment.
